Wow its hard to believe its December where has this year gone? Lets start off with some good old fashion holiday cheer... Merry Christmas everyone! Now on to the December blog post. Diapers you may be thinking why would we send those? Let me tell you we fit a lot of diapers into a big box over 550. These Diapers are going to a front line City called Mariupol. Mariupol a major shipping port by the sea of Azov which is located in the South East of Ukraine. Mariupol has 431,859 people living in it many of who have been displaced by the Russian aggression towards Ukraine. Its an open secret that Russia wants the lands back they lost at the end of the cold war in 1991. This creates a major problem since those lands are sovereign nations and have been so for 30 years.

U.S. and Ukrainian officials believe 170,000 Russian troops could amass on Ukraine's border in a moments notice(BBC News 2021.) lets not forget Russia stole by force a large peace of vital land from Ukraine in 2014 displacing hundreds of thousands of people. “Russia annexed Ukraine's Crimean Peninsula in 2014 and, shortly afterward, cast its support behind a separatist rebellion in the country's east“(News Max, 2021.)

You may ask me what does this have to do with Humanitarian Exchange LTD? The reason we exist is to help people in need, and there is no greater need than to receive help in a war zone that also happens to be your home. Because of the poverty in Ukraine its very hard if not impossible to leave the areas that have been attacked by Russian forces. Many people have lost everything in the shellings from artillery guns and mortars. A lot of towns and villages in the East on or close to the front line have limited or no public transit in or out due to safety concerns. We at HELTD care about all people from every nation but we wont sit idly buy when one nation is infringing on the rights to peace and happiness of another nation. We will do our best to support the people of the oppressed nation. This is why we sent a mothers shelter the tower of diapers and why we will continue to donate needed items.

In closing we here at HELTD have nothing against the peaceful Russian people. Russia too has people in poverty and hurting just like Ukraine does. Our founder has sent personal financial support to a Russian outreach program to street youth that one of his ministry contacts from Russia works with, so long story short we love the people of Russia but not their government. They choose to oppress their citizens and make war against other nations. Humanitarian Exchange LTD does not support any government who chooses to oppress their people or make war against other nations.

To Ukraine we love you and support your continued freedom. We believe your a sovereign nation with your own language (Ukrainian) and always were. We pray your nation never has to be subjugated for another 70 years by any oppressors have that be former known oppressors or unknown future oppressors. We pray that our nation of America and other nations that signed a protection pact with you will make good on their promises and send you any aid that was agreed upon and not back out of a three decades old legally binding treaty.

To the Russian aggressors on the border and within the sovereign nation of Ukraine we love you but you need to return home to Russia. Moscow you must immediately pull all your troops out of the Crimean peninsula and return it to the rightful owners, which is the sovereign nation of Ukraine.
