Good morning all its hard to believe we are already into October. I know it has been quiet here in the blog section of the HELTD website since July. The reason being I was dealing with mental burnout and physical exhaustion because of all the things I take on as a solo person. As some of you know I don’t have a staff paid or volunteer to help me out with the day to day operation of HELTD. This fact took its tole on my ability to preform at the highest level that I expect of myself when working to further the goals of HELTD and positively impact the peoples lives that allow us to help them. For those of you that don’t know my roles at HELTD are not paid by fair monetary compensation, so I have to outsource my labor and work a paid job that is hard on my body and takes away time from furthering the goals of HELTD. I pray at one point in the near future that we will have enough monthly giving partners that I no longer have to work someplace else make my income. Just because I have chosen a life of helping others it dose not exempt me from bills and responsibilities like everyone else has.
Here is the update I have on what it seems to be of our never ending campaign too get 100 Bibles to 10 churches in need in Ukraine. The above picture is Pastor Vadim with some of the boxes of Bibles that he received from HELTD. It takes about a month for one package to arrive to Ukraine from the USA that's if it is not stopped and held by USA or Ukrainian customs officials for inspection. When this happens it adds time to the initial estimate of four weeks for Vadim to receive the needed aid packages. At this point today HELTD has paid for and sent out 58 Bibles, this puts us at over half way done meeting the needed goal of 100 Bibles for 10 different churches. We have 42 Bibles left to send then all 10 of the churches will have needed Bibles to put into the hands of people desperately seeking hope and truth that the pages of the Bible can only illuminate. Let me break this down to a smaller amount to emphasize how close we are to completion of this aid mission 3 boxes are all that's left to send.
The 3 boxes that are left weigh the most so naturally they cost the most money to ship across the Atlantic Ocean all the way to the farthest country in Eastern Europe Ukraine. Our next big push to receive helping monetary aid to get theses 3 boxes to Ukraine is the church I attend in Owatonna MN (Redemption Church) is Holding a Book Reading and signing event for me (Sat Oct 23 at 3pm) so that I can donate all those proceeds from book sales to HELDT to help get a box or more maid to Ukraine. The book sells for $10 and people are welcome to donate to HELTD out right or on top of their purchase of Getting It Right: My Story. You could say my book was the launching point for Humanitarian Exchange LTD so if you or any one you know are interested to know why HELTD exists to help and partner with the less fortunate broken and hurting people of the world this book will help shine a light on those questions and some of life's other big questions. There is also the opportunity for a person or people to sponsors the shipping of an entire box of Bibles to Ukraine ($200) or 50% ($100. from you and somebody else.) If you decide to sponsor a box you may also include a letter of encouragement, positivity or support to the Church that will be receiving the Bibles. (I will read the letter and translate using translation tools before it is sent with the aid package.)
