It's hard to believe that two months have passed since our last blog post and we are no closer to returning to Ukraine to render humanitarian aid in person, but don’t be sorry for us because we are still doing what we can to bring needed aid to the orphaned, abandoned, and forgotten of the wondrous nation of Ukraine.
My Soul yearns to give into the faint echoes of a nation teetering on hope and despair a nation with wolves at their gates making it even harder for the government to render needed aid. This is where I know Humanitarian Exchange LTD can continue making a difference by sending aid packages like this one for the many priceless individuals that have so little to rely on to support their needs. For those of us who Love Ukraine or the idea of freedom we must always support the people of Ukraine who manifest hope and an unyielding fortitude to survive whatever life throws at them.
This is the reason that once again we here at Humanitarian Exchange LTD gathered together new / like new clothing to send in an aid package especially when we were given the chance to triple the amount of clothing aid being sent at no shipping cost to us. You may be thinking how did a nonprofit this small manage that? I tell you it was because of God's timing and a local ministry partner from the local Assembly of God Church leaving for Ukraine with an extra baggage allowance of 40lbs. This local ministry partner also has a burning heart for the lost, forgotten, orphaned and spiritually broken people of Ukraine
Once we were told that our aid package for one person would fly for free, we did our best to try and increase our helping ability by sending more needed clothing items without depleting our operating budget. We were able to achieve this goal because of a partnership donation of $100 coming in just in time to be invested into the lives of those in need in Ukraine for under the cost of shipping one aid package at $120. Because of this we were able to send a 32 inch duffel bag with 9 shirts 6 pants 6 shorts 4 sweaters 18 socks and 24 undergarments. This equates to one weeks' worth of clothes for three different teen age boys/young men.
Being from a first world nation it's hard to imagine not having a closet or dresser drawer full of multiple weeks' worth of clothes with many items of clothing we haven't worn in months or fore some of us years. I challenge you to not buy that new shirt or pair of pants if you already have so many items but instead invest that money into the clothing of someone in need in the so close but so fa away nation of Ukraine. I will continue to hope and pray that you decide to choose to partner with Humanitarian Exchange LDT to help you invest in the lives of the less fortunate on your behalf.
Thank you everyone who keeps up with the ongoing giving Humanitarian Exchange LTD is fortunate enough to continue doing through generous giving from partners and readers just like you. No matter what situation you're in in life you can always extend a helping hand to somebody who has less then you do. Many times, the basic niceties to survive and live happy productive life escape many of the wonderful children and adults that call Ukraine home. This is why Humanitarian Exchange LTD believes that every person in need especially the orphaned deserve our help and mercy.
